fraternity rush

PNM's these are the good houses at Ole Miss. Some are better than others but the threshold is smaller than you would think. There are the following fraternities and then there is a HUGE drop off with the remaining ones. You would be lucky to get into any of these.
Tier One:
EX/EN/KA/PDT (If you haven't already been in contact with these fraternities, then 99.99% chance you won't receive a bid from them)
Tier two:
ATO/KE/Phi Psi/Pike/SAE (if you are out of state without many connections, but still really cool, somewhat good looking, and great social skills you still have a chance with any of these houses)
HUGE DROP OFF
everyone else (these fraternities will take just about anyone who got dropped from the other houses during rush. Sometimes cool guys slip through the cracks and end up in these houses but for the most part they are looked down upon at ole miss. For the most part, these houses don't have swaps with sororities (while the other ones have at least 3).

You can still get in a Tier One fraternity even if you have not been contacted by them yet. Guys rush is not nearly as organized as girls rush. You can not expect to get in a Tier One fraternity if you wait to meet them during rush week or do not network once you get to campus.
I would also not call Phi Delt a Tier One fraternity. They have some really good guys, mostly OOS but have had to rely on too many snap bids the last three years.
