You only have a few minutes to make an impression on the active who picks you up on Greek day. If you are very shy and don't contribute to the conversation, you will likely be cut. Unless you have girls in house who are willing to stick up for you and say "she's really fun once you get to know her, etc."

It's crucial to step out of your comfort zone during rush. It's like a job interview. You have the resume and connections, but you need the interview to go well too.

So what's the longest I'll be talking to these girls? I can definitely hold a short convo with questions I'm interesting in knowing the answers to and what not

@ "^^" every house works differently. sometimes its a good thing if you are talking to a lot of girls and switching quickly. that means they all want to talk to you.
