truth?
by: ole missIs it true that some girls go through rush at other schools and join a sorority there that is considered to be "top tier" at ole miss only so they can transfer to ole miss without having to go through the recruitment process?

If they do that, they will be in for a huge shock and maybe disappointment. Sororities caught onto that trick a long time ago. Most (but not all) chapters get to vote on whether or not to allow the transfer to affiliate with the chapter. So a girl might transfer and not be allowed into the Ole Miss chapter.

I think this does happen, whether it's intentionally or not. For example, I know a DG from another school who is transferring to ole miss this fall. DG is a new sorority and therefore not good at her old school. Is she transferring just to be a DG here? Or is she transferring to be at ole miss in general? Who knows. Rush is a very stressful process but I honestly can't imagine going to one school for a year then transferring to ole miss just to be in a good sorority.

Trust and believe, it used to happen all the time. The reason Ole Miss has delayed recruitment is that so many PNMs would transfer out before classes started if they got released or didn't get the house they wanted.
