You have a few months before rush. You have time to ask other girls what they are wearing, insta stalk actives to see what they wore (a lot posted pref night pics etc...), and buy/borrow dresses and shorts. It will be ok.

Second, please get as many of the recs and letters in as you can. Connections help. A LOT. There's no getting around that. There are the occasional girls who walk in a "top" house without anything and get a bid. It's not unheard of, but don't rely on that. Don't give up hope, either.

Be nice to everyone, before rush, during rush, and after. Never think you are above someone because of the letters you wear. Never think bad of yourself because of the letters you wear. It's hard but look in the mirror, accept that you aren't perfect, but you're special in some way and have people who care about you. Your sorority shouldn't define you.

Watch what you post on social media. Just don't post pics with anything alcohol related. Stop with the "is a solo cup ok?" "Someone else has a drink..." Questions. Why risk a good recruitment for a stupid insta post? Just avoid anything remotely party related & play it safe. However, don't stay cooped up in your dorm the entire first semester. Go out occasionally. Meet people. Avoid guys. Say hi. Be nice. Don't hook up or make a fool of yourself. Keep your panties on for a few months then do as (or who) you please. Get tipsy. Don't go beyond that for now.
