specifics for resume packet

by: still learning

When you put together your resume packet to give to alumni writing recs and doing letters of support (the packet that eventually makes it's way to the houses).
1. Is it a good idea to print your resume on special paper so it looks cute/stands out?
2. Do you print your photo on your resume or send separate, real photographs, and if so, what size? 4x6, 5x7, 8x10?
3. Should your transcript have your school's embossed seal on it to show it's an official transcript? My school's seal is just pressed into the paper, there's no color to it so it doesn't copy well to show that it's an official transcript.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

1. Yes special paper will help you stand out. Especially to our alumni who love that stuff.

2. I printed just my headshot at the top of my resume (small). I also send the required pictures (4 x 6) in my packets. I see a lot of girls put an entire montage of photos on the back page, but this is really overkill! Also know that the requirement for each sorority are different. Some want just a headshot, others want body shots, other want various. Just to be on the safe side, I included three pics in each in my packets. 1 head shot, 1 half body shot, and 1 full body shot. Don't know if any one saw them except the recruitment team, but I had a really good rush!

3. There are girls who will tell you not to include your transcripts in your packets. It even says this on the Greek life web site, but Rec writers need your grades when writing and submitting your recs. I included mine. I don't think they have to be official, just something to show the rec writer that you satisfy their sororities national requirement to receive a bid. You high school has already sent your official transcripts to ole miss and those are the only transcripts that Panhellenic really want to see and use. Panhellenic will forward your official gpa to each sorority.

Hope this helps.
