rush week

A little confused on how rush week works
On the first day, how do you know what houses to go to first?
Also, what if I am in class one day, will I get cut from all of the houses I missed?
Lastly, do you go into a different room and talk to actives/alumni one on one or is it like a gathering of pnms and actives?
Sorry, greek life is not big where I am from. So no one really knows when I ask them and I figure I rather sound stupid here, then during rush week. I need to make as many good impressions as I can:/

You will be assigned a gamma chi group and your gamma chi will actually go over all this soon after classes start, before rush begins.
On the first day you will visit each house with your gamma chi group. After the first day, you will get a schedule according to who invites you back.
If you miss class, you will automatically be dropped from rush. If you have to miss a round, let your gamma chi know your schedule. They can usually fix your schedule.
Usually one active will come out and pick you up outside and bring you inside to talk to you.
Don't worry about any of this! It will all be explained before rush begins.

Do NOT miss class to go to a recruitment round. You will be cut from rush all together. If you have a class from 4-5:30 and a rush round starts at 5, don't even attempt to skip your class to attend a rush round. Missing a round in order to go to class is 100% okay and you will not be penalized for it. Rush is not an excuse to skip class and do poorly on tests. Midterms are typically around rush week. If you skip class to attend a round, you will end up cut.

DON'T MISS CLASS!!! They have your schedule and so do the sororities. If you're at a round that you were supposed to be in class, they will kick you out of rush.
Don't worry if you have a class during a round.
