Dirty rushing is when an active or alumni sorority member promises PNM's a bid.

There used to be a lot more rules to rush that have been relaxed lately, but if older girls or alumni are buying you alcohol or other presents prior to rush, or talking to you during silence periods, or initiating contact with you when panhellenic tells us not, it's considered dirty rushing. So is telling a pnm that she is guaranteed a bid.

Basically we cannot do or say anything that leads you to believe you are getting a bid.

Simply put, no bid is guaranteed. We might LOVE you and tons of girls may tell you you are a shoo in for a bid, but until the bid lists come out, there is no guarantee!

Tons of girls get cut from sororities they thought they were a shoo in for. Every year girls open their bid cards and break down and cry when their first choice house isn't written on there!

Rules are put into place to protect PMM from getting hurt.
