gpa
by: GpaWill someone with a 3.6 gpa be more desirable than someone with a 3.0? Or does it not matter past the 3.0 part
#1by: Not really
Once you are past the 3.0 mark, we don't really pay all that much attention to gpa's, unless it comes down to taking one pnm over another.
I think kappa raised their gpa requirement to 3.2, but since I'm not a kappa, that's only just a rumor.
With heavy alumni involvement in chi o, they may also pay more attention. Idk

To be honest, some houses don't even look at girls below a 3.0. Most houses would prefer if you had above a 3.0, but if we love you then we will over look it! If you have a 3.0 GPA but lots of involvement, you will be okay but you better know girls in the sorority if you want a secure spot on the "invite back" list. However, when it comes down to it we might be forced to drop you. I knew lots of girls with a 3.4 and they got dropped by a lot of houses, BUT I also knew lots of girls who had a 3.0 and got invited back by their top choices.
Panhellenic allows us to bring back "x" amount of girls to the next round. If you are below the "invite back" line then you don't have: a) enough recs, b) high enough GPA, c) no legacies, d) no involvement, e) no connections, etc.
