orientation hangouts.

While I was in Oxford for orientation, a group of girls left to hang out with KD actives. They seemed pretty sure that they had a leg up on KD because KD only invited girls they were interested in to hang out during orientation.
Since I didn't receive an invite, does this mean they aren't interested in me? Will I be cut from them first round? Do other sororities do this as well?

Okay, don't worry about it. There are 9 other sororities that will love you! And you might not get dropped by KD, rush is crazy that way. This happened to me and my friend. I got dirty rushed and was dropped, but my friend made it to skit round with them. Rush is weird. Even if you get dropped, who cares? There are other awesome houses waiting for you!

No. They dirty rush really hard. Not everyone gets a bid and not every girl who got a bid hung out with them before rush

not really! KD's will have you believe others do this as well, but it's simply not true.
Other sororities will wait until the fall and invite you out - but PNM's beware! They are doing this for a variety of reasons but for the most part they are seeing how well you fit in, and whether or not you can drink and remain classy! One bad move, and you will find yourself cut after attending a pre-game with a group of sorority girls!
