Seriously?! Can't you read down a few pages? Asked and answered a thousand times!

Once again, girls will argue, but basically you will need one rec and 3-4 letters if support for each chapter.

Recs and letters from chapter alumni will hold more weight, but they can be from alumni from other schools as well.

I tried to find at least one chapter alumni from each sorority.

3 - 4 letter of support for xo, ddd, KD, DG, phi mu, and kappa.

1 - 2 letter of support for pi phi, aopi, ADPi, and theta. Support letters are not as important in these houses.

Do they all have to be from alumni or can they be from actives

Only from alumni! I've heard of active's writing letters at other schools, but I'm not Aware of any ole miss sororities accepting recs from actives.

why don't the local sorority websites for ole miss only put to get one letter of recommendation. I wish they would just say get letters of support too :/

Greek life isn't that popular around me and I am not from the south, so reaching out to people isn't easy when most of them won't respond back or they don't even care to talk to me. It's really stressful, and I feel this posters stress because getting these letters is NOT easy for everyone.

The local sorority websites also don't state that we are looking for community outreach, sports involvement, extracurriculars, leadership, or good photos either. Nor do they tell you to clean up your social media and make your self look cute and fun. Sometimes you just have to market yourself in such a way that you standout in a crowd of 1800 other pnm's.

Ladies, lets also stress the GPA! If you do not have it you are automatically cut first round.

We get it. I have to answer questions like this to girls where I live who don't know any alumnae in any of the sororities. It stinks, we get it, but you have to do some work with it. Rush here isn't a free ride.
Look at the national website and ask for recs or if you know an active ask if she knows anyone who has graduated. Ask your future roommate if she knows anyone who can write you a rec, ask your aunt/uncle/grandma/grandpa/neighbor/employer/coach/co-worker s, etc. Like really? A rec isn't going to just pop out when you say "I think I want to rush!", you're gonna have to do some work like everyone else.
