I think the biggest issue is that OOS girls lack connections.

Reason in state and southern girls typically have better rushes is connections. A girl from California isn't going to have as many connections as a girl from Atlanta, Georgia. The girl from Atlanta probably knows older girls from her hs who go to ole miss, there are ole miss alumni in her town, and she probably has been to an ole miss game or two. That's how she makes connections. The girl from California likely knows no one who goes to ole miss. Location makes a difference

MS and girls from southern states (AL, TN, GA, TX) do better DUE TO CONNECTIONS. Not because they're from MS or the south. Being from the south doesn't make you better. It just means that generally, you have more connections. Like someone else said, you probably know sorority actives from your hometown, alumni from your hometown, and have probably been to games. It's all about who you know.

Tired of seeing middle and bottom tier soroities and fraternities using the in state out of state excuse as a reason to put down houses. All houses have in and oos members!

btw..Ole Miss IS a state school located in the State of Mississippi..so yes, there will be a large number of Mississippi students as members of top tier houses. Just like Alabama has bama members, Texas has Texas members..etc.
