Hello everyone, I am an active in a sorority at Ole Miss. I'm here to tell you that I AM NOT in a "Top Tier" house and I am from MS. I am extremely happy with my sorority and couldn't imagine being anywhere else. Yes, i have lots of friends in "top" houses and "middle" houses and "bottom" houses. I have lots of older friends in all houses. Please disregard post that you've seen making you think that if you're from MS, you must be in a "top" house. And disregard post that make you think out of state girls can't be in a "top" house. After my selections in rush, I was only dropped from 1 "top house" that I had wanted to go back to. I chose my house because I felt comfortable, happy, and wanted there. You can tell when you go through rush where you're wanted and where you aren't as wanted. And I wanted to be in my house more than anything else. I told one person which house I was in love with, and that was my mom. Recieving my bid card has been one of the happiest moments of my whole life. The reason for me posting this is to let you know, please don't cross any house off of your possibility list until you've gone through rush and visited their house. Just because you read a post on a stupid website that might had influenced you to think you belong in a certain place based on your area code, doesn't mean you should have to believe it. Please give every single house a change before you count them out. Good Luck with preparing for rush and get those rec letters in!!! See you soon!
