someone asks this question pretty much every single day. you'll probably find this same question on the second page. and you're so obviously also dave because you posted it 4 minutes later, with a real name which rarely happens, and they were both questions about fraternities

you don't need to ask this question every 5 minutes. One time is sufficient.

There is no top fraternity..or sorority for that matter that "minds" norherners.

You don't have a shot with top frats (sigma nu, sigma chi, KA, or phi delt) unless you're super rich and have tons of connections or a chapter legacy.

You MIGHT have a shot with good middle frats (ATO, kappa sig, pike) if you have in house connections.

Rushing is all about connections. It's who you know and who you have pulling for you on the inside. Go to pre-rush fall parties and don't make an idiot of yourself. Introduce yourself to actives and if they like you, you might have a shot.

Lower frats (phi psi, beta, sigma pi) are easier to get into. Again just make connections.
