letter of support
by: PnmI got ladies who I don't know to write my recs and I heard you have to get someone who knows you personally to write letters of support but I don't know anyone personally so how detrimental would it be to my rush if I didn't get any letters of support?

You got ladies you don't know to write your recs and don't know anyone to write any support letters. Unless you are a pagent queen, rebelette, have the BEST personality in the south, or famous parents, you can go ahead and lose all hope for the top six houses.
Recs and letters of support hold the most water when they are from ladies who know you!

I'm just going to come right out and say what I'm thinking.
If you are serious about not knowing one single lady who knows you personally to write a rec or letter of support then you either live under a rock or have such a terrible reputation that you can't ask people who know you for a recommendation!
I don't care if you are from the south, the mid west, or the north, there are sorority alumni EVERYWHERE!
For the millionth time, a rec or letter of support from somebody who doesn't know you personally will do you little good at ole miss!
Who knows, maybe a bottom tier house will take you! It's your only hope!

It is really hard for some PNMs to get all of these letters depending on the circumstance. In my case, no one around me was in a sorority or at least not one that was at Ole Miss. It is really frustrating but I am putting in so much work because I want to be apart of a greek organization badly.
If you truly want to be a part of sorority, you have to put in the work. It is going to be HARD, frustrating, and you may get discouraged at times. But just remember how worth it is is going to be when you have a sisterhood to take you through your college years.
