silence period

I'm a little confused about the silence period. When is it/what are the rules? I heard something one time saying that actives cant talk to PNMs the summer right before recruitment. Is that true?

The rules changed last year. Actives can talk to and hang out with pnm's all the way until convocation. They just can't talk during actual rush.

Stupid rule leads to soooooo much dirty rushing, but everybody always broke the rules in the years before anyway.
