rush
by: Kansas girlHi I was wondering if it would be hard to get into a top tier sorority(or any sorority) being that I'm not from a southern state. I know that everyone talks about how connections are really important, but being that I'm from the Midwest that seems nearly impossible. I do however have several fashion connections from interning with Kansas city fashion week. Would that be something I should mention during rush?

It's possible you could get into a top sorority, but you will really have to stand out. Appearance and personality wise. If you don't make a top sorority there are plenty other great mid range ones. The fashion week thing would be great to mention when discussing your interests, but be careful not to sound like you're bragging.

No need to be rude! Phi mu, kappa, pi phi, aopi, theta, ADPi, and next year alpha phi, will all be options for somebody from out of town with no connections.
