Of course KD and EVERY chapter at Ole Miss cares about their legacies. Being a legacy might get you past the first cuts to Philanthropy parties.

Being a legacy does NOT guarantee you a bid. It will NOT let you slide by grade requirements with a low GPA or overcome a bad reputation.

On the other hand, it could actually hurt you with chapters other than your legacy chapter. They might be less likely to extend an invitation to you, assuming that you will choose your legacy chapter first.

Sorry it happened to you...it's not easy being cut from any house... legacy baggage makes it more difficult...you aren't alone...every sorority cuts legacies...its hard on everyone involved.

Just like with every chapter being a legacy does NOT guarantee you a bid. We try to keep you as long as we can but its better to be cut sooner rather than later. I was a double Chi O legacy and ended up being cut and it was the best thing that happened to me!
