by: Highschool juniorI'm trying to decide on UTK or Ole-Miss for college and Ole-Miss is LITTERALLY my dream school. The only thing is I've heard how competitive Rush can be and I'm scared to get down there and not get a bid (I'm from Tennessee) My cousin is a KKG and I know I'm not technically a legacy but it's better than nothing. I have a 26 on the ACT and a 3.4 GPA but I only take advanced classes. I'm class secretary and the president of two clubs and I am a varsity cheerleader. I know at any other college this might be above average but I feel at Ole-Miss Rush it will be mediocre. I'm just wondering just how competitive Rush actually is and how great of a chance I have to get a bid. Thanks!

Bama had 2400 girls go thru rush. I don't think Ole Miss was even close to that!

Think that person is kidding and just trying to intimidate the PNM. But this post just makes someone look really insecure and kinda dumb. There are dozens of posts similar to this one. I can respond to this post just with responses I've seen on other posts. You're from the south, check. You have a 3.0, check. You have a good hs resume, check. But you NEED to network and make connections. Literally every post on here will tell you that.

You're for sure the same girl who wrote into TSM. Catie Warren's article about you has basically gone viral. If you're from the south, have any type of personality, and have a decent high school resume, you'll get a bid. It might not be form your first choice sorority, but you'll get one.

Ole Miss's rush is way more competitive than Bama's. They both have about the same amount of girls going through rush, except Ole Miss has half the amount of sororities Bama has.
