sororities and social media

I'm from oos but know a few girls in one sorority from my high school. A girl I barely knew from high school messaged me and said I should come stay with her in the spring for Woodstock. I'm worried if I get all buddy buddy with this girl and the other girls in that sorority, everyone will think I want that house and will cut me early on. I've heard this one house is bad about rushing girls hard then cutting them during actual rush. Obviously I want to go to woodstock and meet people but I want to keep my options open

Definitely stay with the girl for any spring parties she invites you to. It's really a great way to meet girls if you take advantage of it and don't screw up. Reach out to girls in different sororities before you come to stay at ole miss and see if you can have lunch with them.
