how do bid lists work?

My friend who is a Sigma Nu here told me last semester while I was still in high school that he put me on the rush list. Does this mean I am likely to get a bid when the time comes? Or do I have a lot more work beyond getting on the rush list a while back and knowing a few people? Do most people on there get a bid?

If you are on the rush list you dont even need to show up for rush! YOU MADE IT! CONGRATS!

go through rush and figure it out.
