by: SfghwnfgernWith all of the rankings coming out, everyone is saying how the IHQ ban on pledgeship will hurt them. I don't think it's accurate to say this will drop them in quality, there will be ways around it. What's the reasoning for everyone immediately giving them the shaft?

The chapter is going to be motivated to rush kids. The apathy will kick in because the guys wont be able to haze the kids and get the benefits of pledges. Also SAE at ole miss has one of the hardest pledgeships. There is no way SAE will respect the new members who get initiated without a pledgeship. I predict it will cause a major divide in the chapter the next few years.

its honestly not really a fraternity anymore, more of a social club. why would a freshman who's friends are going through being a pledge other places want to not have the same right of passage. These guys will talk about how they will have the new kids do stuff anyway and it will be a lie, or if they do they will get shut down. either way they cant really be considered amongst real fraternities now.
