phi mu vs pi phi, aphi vs. aopi

Phi Mu and Pi Phi are 100% on the same level. Phi Mu is still great, but Pi Phi has definitely made its way up. The only thing that sets them apart is the location of their houses.
After this year, Aphi is definitely tied with AOPI. They are taking some amazing girls and are on the rise!!

This is not meant to be a bash so let me just start with that before I get jumped on. Just my opinion. Yes, Alpha Phi has beautiful and fun girls. However, until they get a handle on their retention, and until they do better with their grades, and until they are known as something other than the "hot girl" sorority, they just don't move up. It is as simple as that.
They got a good pledge class. But they got what you would expect. And when you get what you would expect, there's no wow factor. And to move up the ranks at a place like ole miss you need to do more than what one would expect because our ranks are soooo tradition based. Maybe too traditiom based. But that's where we are.

That's great for Alpha Phi, but that doesn't mean that AOPi isn't working hard on their philanthropy also. All our sororities are very involved in supporting and raising money for their national and local philanthropies. Which is why we all SUPPORT each other in our efforts.

Pi Phi had a great recruitment but they are not on the same level as Phi Mu. Phi Mu got a lot of beautiful girls this year, mostly southern. A lot of Memphis and Mississippi girls with a few southern out of state sprinkled here and there. Phi Mu gets the oos southern girls who have strong resumes or connections that KD, DG, XO and DG cut. Kappa also takes those strong oos southern girls but a different type than PM. Those two sororities get the cream of the oos southern girls, then ADPi got the rest and some even chose AOPi and APhi. I don’t think Pi Phi got these girls as much as strong girls from far OOS. If anything ADPi is now above Pi Phi and Alpha Phi, they had the msot improvement.

can I just say that Phi Mu doesn’t just “take the girls that DG, KD, etc. cut”. especially DG. this year I knew a lot of girls who preffed Phi Mu over DG, and it’s nothing against them. they are both just very different houses that attract different girls. but they are both great houses and awesome bids. not trying to start anything, just putting what i know out there!!!

I find this thread of comments odd. Phi Mu is definitely capable of recruiting their own members, they also have their own Ole Miss connected/legacies to consider. I know there were quite a few girls who wanted Phi Mu when we went through recruitment, me included. I pref Phi Mu but ended up with my second choice, but still have many friends in Phi Mu.
Pi Phi and AOPi are both getting strong OOS students, and are definitely getting the best resumed OOR students. They also have their own connected/legacies to consider.
Not sure about ADPi, they seem to be doing a lot of self ranking on this site. Probably just insecurity. They had a good recruitment, but they probably need to concentrate on their new Sisters and making them feel welcome - and less time on GR.

To say that Pi Phi is on the same level as Phi Mu is absolutely insane. They aren't even similar in the slightest. Phi Mu is full of the most extra girls on this campus, have you seen Instagram? They are flashy and in your face and known for the most part for being pretty. Pi Phi has a bunch of plain looking girls that you really wouldn't even remember. Either that or I just haven't ever seen one. I know this comes off as a little harsh but it's honestly disrespectful to Phi Mu to even be compared.

You do realize that Alpha Phi was placing top 3 in several campus competitions for other organizations’ philanthropies right? That’s being known for something other than “hot girls”. What is AOPi known for?
