In addition to reaching out to those you know in various sororities (because even if ABC isn't offering bids, your friend may know who else is), I would contact Panhellenic and give them your name and information so that they can pass it along to houses. I would cover my bases so girls and panhell know you are interested. Ole Miss has a wonderful greek system, and I hope you will find a place that makes you happy. It's also good to keep in mind that houses may offer COB offers next semester so don't give up!

I forgot to answer your other question, which is limited to my experience, but I've seen sophomores embraced for COBs. You have nothing to panic about. Just keep reaching out and exploring your options. This year my house placed an emphasis on bidding girls who wanted to be part of our sorority, so enthusiasm and genuine interest will be compelling qualities in your hunt for the right house.

Honestly most houses on rebel drive offer COBs. Just go dm a girl in the house you want a cob from and I’m sure they would be willing to help you out!
