cuts
by: questioninglast year it was said that somewhere near 95% of girls got bids, now it seems like tons of girls are getting dropped. are they taking smaller pledge classes this year? i’ve heard this year has been more brutal than years past

That is so bizarre to me. Isn't it better to stay in rush than say that EVERYBODY cut you? Or do girls then blame their grades or some such thing that is an easy and universal cut that plenty of others can relate to?

This is very common...girls don't want to admit that they dropped out so they will say they were cut. Sometimes it's because they thought they were "too good" for the houses that remained on their list so they don't even give those houses a shot.
This is too bad because re-rushing as a sophomore is rarely successfully (does happen for a few) and you often get cut from the very same houses that cut you before.
If you can't find sisters you bond with in a house of hundreds of members, then you aren't trying and it's a shame to give up before the end.
