bid list
by: Chi O!!!!!!Yay chi o was my absolute favorite house today. I had such good conversation with each girl I talked to. They were so nice and welcoming and even told me they hope to see me next round. But the last girl I talked to said they normally have their bid list made out in advance. Does this mean I have no chance of even being asked back? I was disappointed in hearing this but I thought I had such a good round there.

The reason people want to inform PNMs about bid promising at Chi O is that they make extreme cuts and rush a much smaller group of women. For instance, they released about 1200 girls after Greek day. Their recruitment is run differently than almost every other house. They accept the Panhellenic fine to make that cut because they want to create an exclusive and hard to get vibe.

Hey, I’m an adult but not a mom. I have no horse in this race. And I’m not upset about Chi o. They are a strong sorority w deep history at ole miss. My post was intended to give some background to how they run rush. My best to you.

Thanks for the info, but seriously it's not that complicated. Every sorority has to make some serious decisions and make cuts, and hope they get the girls they feel will love their sisterhood. If Chi-O is promising bids before recruitment is over they would be in violation, which is not something they want to have happen since they are already experiences consequences from recruitment violations. So they are going to be very careful about making promises. Plus, everyone knows Chi-O has already decided before recruitment begins, so no news there.

Please do tell.... I honestly have no idea and am just being nosey!! I still like my ChiO friends though. Glad I’m not in that house but some of the girls are cool.

Chill Momma, most of the clubs have smaller quotas. Chi-O isn't much different than the others, it's just they have their class picked out in advance.
