what does this girl mean

by: Help me

I can't disagree with you personal experience but I want to throw out there that my house is really strict about not taking QRs. I've been stunned at some of the innocuous stuff that women have been released for, so please err on the side of caution if you are a PNM and hope to have lots of options during rush. We may be the only house that does pull up instagram and check it for certain cases, but I doubt it. Those houses that have active alumni can probably echo my sentiment. I'm not saying I think this is a great policy bc I don't, but it's the reality for some of us.

Don't take this site seriously. It's just a place for trolls and insecure Moms to bash each other. Every now and then you'll get a informed accurate answer to a question, but usually you're just dealing with pond scum.

No, that's not what QR means. But it was a good guess for a GDI troll.

QR = questionable reputation.

The most hypocritical aspect of sorority recruitment at Ole Miss and other SEC schools is that many of the sisters of ALL chapters party extremely hard and hookup with random guys, but during rush if social media photos depict too much partying, you will be cut. So be careful with obvious red cups/beers in photos, photos of you being super drunk, hooking up with fraternity guys (I know a girl who went on a rampage because a PNM who was VERY desired just FLIRTED with a guy she was interested in, who was not interested in the sorority member anyway, and campaigned against the girl).

The cuts in recruitment esp under variable quota come quick and heavy, and often sororities have to cut way more girls than they even want to, so they are itching for an easy way to narrow down lists. Enjoy Ole Miss' party scene AFTER you get a bid. Be conservative until then, because immature 19 year old actives and hovering pearl clutching alumnae alike will happily ignore their own current/past drinking and hookup habits if it means making it easier to make hard recruitment cuts.

Not fair, extremely hypocritical, but reality.

"your Mom was a legacy" At least use the term 'legacy' correctly. A legacy is the daughter or sister of an initiated member. The mom is not the legacy; the mom is the initiated member.

Oopps, sorry Mom, didn't mean to get you all excited there.....how's this 'You're a legacy'. Although Mom is probably a legacy too.

Okay, let's. The term "QR" has been around since before Mom was in school, and no one calls them "new recruits." Honestly you sound like some old dude trying to sound like a sorority active.
