rush !!

if I get a postcard from a sorority before recruitment what does that mean ? I’m trying super hard not to have my heart set on a sorority before recruitment but it’s kinda difficult when they make it seem like they want you.

Just relax. Assume nothing. Keep an open mind and don't get set on any one sorority.

That means that someone in that sorority put your name and address on a list to get the postcard. It means that you are on their radar. It doesn't mean you're getting a bid, but they know about you.

Just remember you are asking that question on GR which should give you your answer. I wouldn't put much stock in that postcard. There are plenty of stories on here from former PNM's who were rushed pretty hard before and during recruitment only to get cut in the end.

My house sends postcards to all girls registered to rush or other names we can find of incoming freshman. The dirty secret is we want PNMs to want us so our return rates are high. I really hate this policy because it's a set up.
