Certain houses have known for quite a while who they want.

top tiers = moms have picked out classes for next several years

mid tiers = actively searching. some have a few girls they would like, but most will pick girls in the weeks leading up to rush

bottom tier = will take anyone, just worried they won't meet quota

Hi, just wanted to reply to "hi" and her post. I am actually in a sorority labeled (somewhat ridiculously bc the sororities are more similar than not) bottom tier. It's just not true that we will take anyone. We make cuts based on grades, reputation, and other criteria. I'm sure our cuts are not as aggressive as those of the more Mississippi-based sororities and that is fine, but we do select our new members carefully. We want the PNM to be the right fit for us too. Best wishes, PNMs, and don't take the gossip on this site for the gospel truth.
