personal outlook on recruitment 2018

KD - they put on a great rush hands down. Every girl I talked to before/during/after rush loved them.

Tri Delt - tip top of a lot of girls lists going in. Make HUGE cuts the first few days and still pretty relentless throughout the week. Pledge class is most definitely already picked out.

DG/Kappa - seem to still be a the top pick for OOS girls not as well connected as the KD/DDD group. Desirable for OOS girls and a safe option for the in state girls who want to switch things up. Very aggressive dirty rushing imo

Chi O - gonna get backlash for putting them below DG/Kappa but tbh a majority of girl I know felt odd there during rush. They still have the Jackson/Memphis pull so they make really big cuts the first few days too. They seem to close themselves off socially and I think their lack of presence on campus before rush doesn’t give pnm’s a chance to see them. I think they are perfectly content being by themselves though. They don’t have to worry about rush because their pledge class has already been picked out by alum/advisors

Phi Mu- it seems like back in the day they were more competitive but their laid back approach to rushing girls actually hasn’t hurt them. They still get great girls even though they aren’t in your face about rush

Pi phi- kinda a hot mess

Aopi- puts on a great rush. I know a lot of girls that went “top” houses but genuinely liked aopi. It seems like you see them on campus a lot before rush but never really hear about them dirty rushing or anything like that.

Adpi- they’ve had a few years to adjust to things but it seems like they still haven’t figured out how to put on good rounds during rush week.

Aphi- gonna get backlash for this BUT girls who get cut from their top choices houses usually go aphi instead of another bottom house. I know that they really hardly cut ANYONE which puts them at a disadvantage. As time goes on and they are able to take smaller pc’s maybe they can work on improving their reputation as the house that takes risky girls. Not trying to be hateful. Since they need large numbers they have to take a lot of girls and so they automatically are gonna have lots of risks. Maybe they could work on PR or controlling some of it

Theta- they are at a disadvantage during rush because girls come in hearing that this isn’t a good house. I know before rounds even started girls were all talking about how bad it was and obviously had no clue because we had not been at Ole Miss for a month.
