I rushed last fall, and I felt like KD, DG and KKG put on the best rushes. They were so nice to everyone. AP, PM, Pi Phi, AOP, and Theta were also very nice and welcoming. DDD and XO girls were weird and awkward--maybe I just got paired with poor conversationalists. I was told they were "top" but they didn't seem top (could be due to legacies).

IMO I think DG should be on their own tier between DDD and Kappa, because they definitely are a super sought after group, but just not on the same level as DDD and KD. It kinda comes down to numbers here, because variable quota shows KD and DDD are required to take fewer PNMs than DG, but Kappa is a bit below DG as well.

if those are rankings for PNMs than I agree 100%. If you are asking what is most desirable:
KD/DDD/DG
Kappa
Phi Mu/Alpha Phi
Pi Phi
Chi-o/AOPi/ADPi
Theta
KD - 1st but not it's own tier
APhi - obviously more desired than their actual ranking. Seems like everyone cut from the top tier and the dg/kappa/phimu trio wanted APhi #1.

You can't speak on what's desirable for more than 1000 women. Ask and you will get 1000 different answers.
What is so hard about that for people around here to understand? There is no one size fits all collective ranking. Maybe it was that way in 1980, but not anymore.
As for the "traditional" ranking, lets just call it what it is - for the most part that is just the order of when the houses come to campus.
