Because they are both good sororities with amazing philanthropies and outstanding national reputations. Honestly, the only "how" I'm wondering about is how can you be so snide and snobbish. You're the kind of person who punches down. Tells me all I need to know about this comment.

Any talk about return rates is false. No one is going to know the return rates but Panhellenic and they won't be talking. Honestly there really isn't such a thing as a return rate, there's are some sororitys that will be preferred over others- but 'the return' is determined by the sorority. So technically Theta will have a higher 'return' rate because they have a higher quota.

Understanding what return rate metrics mean still doesn't change the fact that no one is going to know what the returns rates are during recruitment. Those rates will change as the week progresses. Any return rate talk is just false information.

Actually Panhellenic does tell each sorority what their return rate is after each round. Anyone who is saying otherwise on this website does not know what they are talking about and is not in a sorority obviously. Return rates are real but each sorority only knows their own.

Return Rate: The number of women that are invited and the number of women that are coming back for the round. You invite 100 women, 5 PNMs you invited ranked you low, = 95 PNMs coming to the party or 95% returns.
It really is the priority ranking number that tells any chapter how they are recruiting versus other groups. How many PNMs put a chapter as a "1" (want to go back to) is more accurate in determining recruiting strength. This is more reliable the straight percentage returns because you could have invited a PNM you want, however that PNM may have ranked your chapter 2,3,4,5 but ends up coming back because other chapters cut her and you move up on her invitation list. Or the same PNM may have ranked you as a #1 but you cut them. It's all about the number of #1 rankings you get from PNMs that truly determine recruiting strength of each chapter.
