likes chio but not a jackson girl

I really like ChiO and have been getting rushed by them for a while - calls, texts, cards in HS, invited to pre-games... I am not from MS or Jackson but still feel very hopeful with them.
But I keep hearing that even if I were lucky enough to get a bid from them I'd never really fit in because I wouldn't be accepted by my pledge class.
I want a forever place and feel scared to trust them. Actually, it's hard to trust any of this....

See this is the problem of listening to rush rumors and actually believing this site... honestly do you think the entire pledge class will be from Jackson?? that the entire sorority is from Jackson??? Keep doing what you are doing- they clearly have their eye on you- you clearly like them- forget what anyone else says- if you feel like its a good fit then it is. Stop paying attention to others.

There will be a little group of Jackson girls in Chi O (and DDD and KD). Some of them stick together and some of them branch out. Chi O and every sorority has girls from all over! MS and other states too. Don't let that deter you if you like Chi O because you will have a group of friends and fit in because there are a lot more non-Jackson girls than Jackson girls! Just focus on seeing who is around you at your parties and how comfortable you feel.

I don't want to rain on your parade (in all honesty), but what PNMs want and what the sorority wants might be two different things. The truth is that the sorority chooses its pledge class. Yes, PNMs get to rank, but that doesn't mean the Chi O is interested in diversifying. They may be. I would not know. I will say that I know for a fact that much of their bid list is completed well before rush. I would hope there are some spots open so that they can actually meet new girls (duh!) but we'll only know that after bid day. I agree with the other posters on here that you need to make up your own mind about Chi O and every other house. The only thing that matters is how YOU feel in the chapter. Good luck!
