i'm confused to what silence is? what is it and what can't we do

Basically this just means that actives and PNM's can't be in contact from now until greek day. Its not closely monitored but the active and her sorority could get in trouble if she's caught being in contact with a PNM this week because it could be considered dirty rushing. Panhellenic does this so that girls will go into recruitment with a more open mind.
