bid day baskets
by: confused#1by: Hmm
A few different store on the square offer them and each store put different things in them. There's also different price ranges. I don't know which price range mine was in because it was a gift but it had a few tshirts, a little painting of my house, a picture frame with my letters, a necklace with my letters, and a few other odds and ends.
They're not a big deal though! DONT feel bad if your parents don't know what they are and don't send you one literally no oneness notices

The bid baskets are gift baskets that parents/grandparents can send to their daughters to congratulate them on being accepted to a sorority. There are several businesses locally that sell the baskets for a wide range of costs. Although it is nice to receive a basket it is certainly not a necessity. You will receive a lot of gifts from your sorority so no one will notice or care if you receive a bid basket or not. I would say most of the girls did receive a basket (at least in my sorority), however it doesn't really matter about the size. Have your parents check with several of the Oxford businesses in the square. There is one in particular (won't name names) that offers reasonably priced baskets with good quality items. They can check the different websites for pricing.
