The Southern schools do not read the recommendation letters you so lovingly wrote for your friend's daughters and family members. They no longer care that your child is a legacy. Do your granddaughters a favor and do NOT leave your old sisterhood a single solitary dime in your planned giving! It will take these current and future girls time before they feel the lesson. This current generation has no respect for the alumni or the legacy girls that are sent to them, so do not give them a dime of funding from your estate.

Every KD I’ve ever met that goes/went to Ole Miss is genuinely really nice. The friendships seem very real and loyal. If I rushed I would have definitely wanted to be a KD.

They win awards but they don’t have very much fun. I did hear that a guy came to their formal with his gf and hooked up with another kd at the party. That doesn’t scream good sisterhood but maybe his gf was one of their homely looking legacy girls that is super prude.

They need to spend more money on birth control and less time posting on yik yak that they are into terminating pregnancies. Hypocrites because they claim they only let in virgins.

Really poor sisterhood. Spend a lot of time trying to find your place in house. They fake being nice during recruitment and once you are in the house they treat you like you are lucky to be there. Most girls would quit but their moms would stop paying tuition. A few lucky ones get to transfer.

I’m not here to speak negatively about anyone. My advice is to have an open mind. I would say the girls are nice, but it is very heavy with local girls. OOS girls beware- I definitely think that you’ll feel a little left out. A little dirty rushing going on. Making promises they aren’t supposed to be making. I was told how they couldn’t wait to see me tomorrow. I was assured that I was a girl they really wanted, only to find out they dropped me. I don’t mind not being a good fit, just don’t make promises you can’t keep- that’s tacky. Overall, I think some houses need some humbling- don’t under estimate an “underdog”…
