victory on appeal

Appealing to nationals gave me the ability to rush. I look forward to reporting to all the nay Sayers that a sorority took me without the 2.8.

A lot of you sound really bitter and unnecessarily angry at this one person. If she gets cut, then so be it. If she gets into a house, good for her. Life isn't fair. Rush isn't fair. Nothing is fair. You guys are acting like she's a murderer or something. Let her live life and learn. You guys aren't her parents and are insignificant to her in the grand scheme of things.

This is true, what chapter would want a girl who doesn't play by the rules? Who doesn't put in the study hours to get a good gpa? Who takes her trivial little problem all the way to NPC? Can you imagine if she pledges somewhere and decides she doesn't feel like attending chapter? Or she gets s''t faced and taken to her chapters morals or judicial board-does she go to NPC again or bring a lawyer to her hearing? This girl is trouble!
#16by: HA!
Ladies, this is nothing but a pot stirrer. Any house on campus that really wants her, as she claims, can extend a bid to her ANYTIME THEY WANT TO! There is nothing that says she has to participate in rush to get a bid. No need for all of the drama and supposedly escalation to NPC for a Super Special Snowflake Exemption. I sincerely doubt this person / situation is real.

As for alumnae "being on Greek Rank", some threads (like this one) become known to sorority higher ups and may get alumnae input, because of the risk of misinformation being spread. KA doesn't have any other posts, so I would hardly say she doesn't have a life based on responding to one well-publicized thread. It is 2016, and if you think ANY prominent social media is not being monitored by alumnae you are kidding yourself. Most of the time they won't comment - but they know what is going on, because they have to.

All of these babies crying because they got so few invites already even though they had OMG HIGH GPA'S!!!!!! It doesn't matter! Good luck girl! Someone with your persistent attitude and drive will get her heart's desire while all these other whiners will get to be GDIs or worse something like Theta Phi Alpha.

"Acting like she's a murderer?" Hyperbole much? "Bitter"? Why would I be bitter? I'm an alumna of long standing who has had a wonderful sorority experience. As far as fair goes, what is fair is that there are g.p.a. standards which should apply to everyone. What is fair is that those who would have trouble academically should they try to be active in a sorority are not allowed to rush because education should come first. As far as being insignificant - some of us are going to be significant in that we can notify our chapters about the dangers of this pnm (not that they wouldn't see them without our help - grade risks are grade risks, not to mention the aforementioned desire to not be held to the same standard as others - that is a potential member who will be a constant source of trouble ). Looking at her demonstrated inability to avoid simple errors in grammar tells me there is a reason her g.p.a. is so low -and yes, 2.78 is LOW.
