I went through recruitment as a sophomore and it was just fine! It's definitely harder, but it's worth it. Get involved and keep your GPA up and you'll be fine. Good luck!!

I went through as a sophomore too. There will be houses that will cut you solely because you are a sophomore, but no big deal. If you have a good GPA, you'll be better off. Lots of nice chapters take sophomores, you should be ok.

The above posters had good experiences, but lots of sophomores end up dropping or being released. I went through as a sophomore and I'd say 50% or maybe more end up not pledging for one reason or another. Some chapters will take a few sophomores, but most lean heavily freshman. Lower mid to lower tier chapters are more open to taking sophomores, because usually they are very high quality women and will help them improve. If you keep an open mind, don't listen to others, and truly want to go greek, you will find that all of our chapters have a good experience and positive attributes to offer.
