rushing with a 3.0
by: really scaredI have a 3.0 and I want to be in a sorority sooo bad but I'm so worried that houses will drop me because of my gpa. I know I meet the gpa minimum for all the houses, but is there any chance I won't get a bid because of this? Please answer truthfully I'm beyond scared about it :( and really don't want to wait until next year to rush.

Am I correct in assuming most houses want diversity in their girls? So they won't only pick girls that are just smart even if they're known for being a smart house.

No it isn't. Without going into secret details, GPA can come into the equation even if you meet the house's minimum. Also, not all houses will necessarily have a 3.0 minimum. Some may be higher. You simply won't know.
That being said, you can meet the minimum GPA and still get dropped for all kinds of reasons (and sometimes no real reason at all except that we wanted other PNMs more than you for whatever reason.) So GPA is only one factor.
Your GPA is what it is. There isn't anything you can do about it at this point so stop focusing on it and work on the things you can do something about like the way you present yourself.
