legacy
by: PNM worries.How much does being a legacy really help? I know it's a step up from a rec, and doesn't insure a bid or anything, but I've heard it helps a lot and then I've heard people don't really care. I also know no one in the houses. One house I know there are a lot of other legacies, and my other legacy there aren't so many. I could see myself in both houses so far and just really want to know if my "legacy status" is going to help me much?

It totally depends on the chapter with how much it counts. You can check their chapter website or even their nationals to see if you can find more information. Don't count on it ensuring you a bid, though. Even if you're a legacy you won't be extended a bid if you aren't a good fit for the chapter.
