do legacies and recs help get into top tier sorori

by:

I am from California and I know rush is supper competitive at IU. I do not know anyone at IU but I really want to join a sorority. I hear Alpha Phi and Tri Delta are top tier, but I have double legacies and many recs for alpha phi and one legacy and a board member rec for Tri Delta. Since I do not know anyone I am kinda worried about rush. Does anyone know how much recs and legacies help in top tiers or at all at IU?

How about you shut up. Stop being so worried about it. Your nervous like anyone else. You have recs, so they're what they are.

So just pipe down there.

I'm sure you will do just fine! Recs and legacies will help but over all be really out going and friendly to all the girls in each house. You never know where you will end up wanting to go and it may not be top tier but that shouldn't matter.

i wouldn't wanna be in Alpha Phi. They have taken below average pledge classes the last two years. I would aim higher. Try ZTA and DDD.

Letters of recommendation don't help out to much unless the woman is from the IU chapter and is a big donor. Also the only legacy that IU sororities take into consideration are your mother, sisters, and grandmothers.
