how does the next round of voting work
by: pnmso i got back 13 houses from zoom and for the voting post philo i put down the 4 houses i did not vibe with and the 9 i liked. im confused is it possible for me to get the 4 houses i didnt like? also im not even gonna lie i liked all the 9 houses that i put on my list and i fear that if i get all 9 back for sisterhood it’ll be very hard for me to make distinction of which one to pick (great girls in all houses).

Pnm's need to understand that the sororities do the choosing and that pnm's don't drop houses, they only rank them. Your ranks of the sororities do not influence how the sororities rank you, they don't even see your rankings of them. You will get back houses that you ranked lower. Give them a fair chance. The system is designed to give you back as many choices as possible so you can get a bid.
The way it works is that each sorority is given the maximum number of pnm's they can invite back to a round. These numbers change over the course of rush based on percentages and the number of pnm's staying the process. If you are high enough on a sorority's list to be above the cutoff they are given, then you are invited back. If not, you are released. You could be the one right below the line and they liked you just fine but they can't go over their given number.
When houses you wanted to keep release you, and this WILL HAPPEN, the computer algorithm adds back lower ranked houses to your schedule to give you as many houses as possible for a round. Your rankings of the chapters only matter in the event that more of them want to invite you back than you have room for in your schedule. If that happens (it happens for a few girls but not for most) your lower ranked choices will drop from your schedule. The far more common scenario is that you don't get asked back to some houses you loved and will go back to houses that you need to take a second look at. One of these could really be your home.
DO NOT TAKE BEING RELEASED FROM A HOUSE PERSONALLY. Not being invited back does NOT mean you weren't liked, that they judged you as lacking somehow, or that they wouldn't want to be friends with you. Rush is a numbers games. It's not personal (though it can feel that way) so keep that in mind and don't dwell on where you were cut, focus on the houses you have in front of you because they want you back! It's far better to know earlier than later in the process that you aren't a match for a house. Keep going, don't drop out!

Bumping for pnm's. Most of you need to hear this again. You are not choosing your house, the house is choosing you.
If all of you would take the bid you get and bring your best to those houses, every new class will be full of amazing girls with a lot to offer just like you, and THAT will make your sorority experience.
Otherwise, you aren't going to be in a sorority at all; you aren't getting a cob from a house that already dropped you, you aren't getting a 'better' house next year as a soph when they will always choose freshmen, and you are never getting back the potential for this upcoming year in your life.

No one wants a low tier house. Better to drop?
