The first cuts a lot of houses make are for gpa. Beyond that, just know that a lot of the houses you named don't take any sophomores - or if they do, they only take one or two and they're girls they already know.

Cut down your expectations by a lot, the houses you listed won't really take sophomores. You have a fair chance at the mid and low houses but as a sophomore you can't be picky

My advice (for you and other sophomore+ PNMs):

1. Woman up and go through women’s recruitment to see how things work out. Rush is different every year so no one knows how pledge classes will turn out.

2. Leave this ”beta” energy in 2024. You have a lot of excuses and most of them will be a huge turnoff if you share them while being rushed (losing a family member is a fair excuse though and I’m sorry for your loss).

3. You “didn’t get DZ” because you didn’t get a bid from them after pref. I’m sure you shared this point to give us a sense of your quality as a PNM but make sure you don’t have a chip on your shoulder and a narrow focus when you go through rush.

Keep an open mind and things will “work out.”
