I almosthadapanicattackbecauseofaspider in my room

A few minutes ago, I was preparing to go to sleep. I was already relaxed and had finished sipping my mint tea a few minutes earlier. When I decided to go to the bathroom, I noticed something in the corner of my wall. I froze. There was a big spider just chilling there. I calmly went to the kitchen to get a broom and tried to squish it. It fell. I panicked because there's a nightstand very close to where it fell, and it could have had many places to hide. I carefully looked under my nightstand. Nothing. I looked under my king-sized bed with a flashlight. Nothing. I sat on my chair with a sense of defeat and apprehension.

I started trying to deduce where the spider might be when I noticed something small and quick scurrying between the piano and an ottoman in my room. I knew what I had to do. I moved the ottoman. IT WAS THERE. I took the broom and kept hitting it until it was dead. For a moment, I thought it had disappeared again, but it was stuck in the bristles of the broom. I continued hitting it vigorously for another minute and started laughing quietly, so I wouldn't wake anyone up. I felt a euphoria like the kind I only felt when I finally defeated The Nameless King, Friede, and Malenia. I was overjoyed.

Before anyone defends the recently deceased spider, I want to tell another story:

A few years ago, I was watching Netflix in the dark because someone was sleeping in my room. I felt something moving on my hand. Of course it was a spider! I freaked out, screamed, and killed it immediately. I thoroughly cleaned my room and organized everything so that no spider could hide behind for example a vase.

A few months later, once again, while watching Netflix in the dark, I felt something strange on my hand. I thought it was just the blanket. I used my phone’s flashlight and discovered it was another spider. Almost having a panic attack, I killed it. I took a thorough shower afterwards and couldn’t stop shaking for another 15 minutes. I guess this was the moment when I got arachnophobia.

I found out that peppermint and lemon oil are natural spider repellents, so I sprayed a mixture of water, a little dish soap, and 10 drops of these oils into every crack and corner in my house. I continued doing this every week before showering. BUT IT SHOWED UP TODAY ANYWAY.
