Rushing as a transfer

by:

Hi, I’m a sophomore at Purdue who got a bid from a lower tier sorority, but I’m planning to drop it. I’n planning on transferring to IU and rushing in the spring. Does anyone have any rushing tips or suggestions on what I can do differently to get a bid from a top or good house?

Top tier purdue = mid tier iu
Mid tier purdue = low tier iu
Low tier purdue = well…

Wear as much makeup as possible, be as fake as possible, and try and be in the same friend group as pretty girls that will better your odds of doing well at rush

Just keep in mind that 2000+ people typically rush in the spring at iu and most houses only take 1-2 sophs. If being in greek life is important to you I would consider sticking with the option in front of you.

Please know the vast majority of IU sorority women will not know you, since you will JUST be arriving onto our large campus. That in itself puts you at a disadvantage.

If you are lucky, there will be a few IU sorority members who remember you from your previous hometown, high school and/or job. Make positive conversations and connections with them during recruitment.

Never underestimate the power of being the real, genuine YOU. No phony act, no special routine, no offensive see-thru put-on of airs.
