Why didn’t I get a bid
by: RusherAll the guys I talked to seemed to like me and I talked to almost everyone. I also had extremely long conversations with the guys too so why didn’t I get a bid from any of the top houses?

The entire Rush process at IU is to blame honestly. It’s messed up and way harder to get a bid than at other schools. Not to mention this year was a record year in terms of competition and a lot of good dudes didn’t get bids. It sucks but just the way it is. Most mid to top houses like Phi Delt, Phi Sig, Beta, Phi Psi and more were literally full or 90% full before “rush” even started. They just host “rush” as a formality.

In one of those houses mentioned, pretty much true, but 90% full more like 60. It’s also very luck based too, some of the brothers who may of liked you might not have enough pull or decided not give their input to rush committee

Uiuc is much easier you can easily get bids off knowing 1 guy as long as you don’t suck as a person

I would rush mid and lower mid houses. don't listen to the haters on gr. kids in mid and lower mid have a great time and usually have a stronger brotherhood. A couple houses on 3rd street like DU and Lambda. Lambda should be back in there house in the fall (renovation). Asig and some other houses on the extension could be good options.

Thanks man. It honestly sucks cuz it happened in fall too and I even went to all the pre rushes. Hopefully next year is better.
