will formally rushing as a sophomore be counted or held against me? i just dont want to be judged and waste my time for waiting to rush as a sophomore instead of as a freshman

Could be an advantage if you have made good friends in the houses.

Definitely wait until the fall to rush! I did spring informal as a freshman, it was terrible! I legit know no one who got a bid. Make good friends during your freshman year and then pledge sophomore year. When I went through recruitment sophomore year, it was the best experience ever. The girls were so laid back and chill. Super kind and no pressure at all
