Rushing as a sophomore with no connections
by: hmi dropped out of sorority rush last year due to personal issues, and plan on rushing again. What is rushing like for sophomores? i don’t know a ton of girls in sororities or have a lot of connections. Will i get cut from a lot of houses just for being a sophomore?

Sophomores are chosen to join. Rush doesn't change much year-to-year. Follow the rules you are given, and keep an open mind if you truly desire membership.
Be yourself with the women you meet, as they will be genuine with you.
Please don't worry about any 'numbers games' except to note that no one receives more than ONE bid in the end.
DO NOT allow 'tent talk' to cloud your personal judgement and ideas about any chapter. This is YOUR choice for life, not theirs.
This is not meant to be snarky, just truthful: no one can tell you the Membership Selection Policies of any chapter. That is private information for initiates of the chapters. When you are dropped from any house, simply look happily forward to meeting again with the intelligent women in those homes where you DID receive an invite to return.
Much luck in finding your home from home!
