Freshmen should party in the dorms. Get to know your fellow students and bond over the thrills of college life. Make friends with someone you might not normally hang out with. Expand your horizons. If you are drawn to Greek life, then rush. Interlopers and alcohol mooches are not welcomed.

^ facts. Believe it or not, IU is very strict with frats and sororities. Frats have lists so that they know who’s entering their house, and in case of an emergency they have the names of everyone who was in attendance and can send that to IU/authorities if they request it to help with whatever situation happened. Sororities use wristbands to enter parties and have to check in at the door, also for their own safety. This isn’t a free for all and you can’t just walk into a frat party for our own safety and our members.
