I hear some people don't see it as pledging but more of a way to expand their social horizons. Sure you do a few errands here and there but the "pledges" can drop whenever they please.

Maybe if their wasn't such a divide between fraternities and geeds kids wouldn't feel so obliged to rush a fraternity and be subject to brutal hazing
