Sorority Recruitment

Hi- I’m a freshman and I got my list of houses back this morning and was dropped by a lot of them. I’m going to give all the houses a chance, but I was wondering if anyone knew what the reasoning behind who was kept round 1? The whole first round was a webinar and I never actually got the chance to talk to any members. Are any sororities doing continuous recruitment at all? Don’t hate on me for asking, jw how it worked on the backend with not getting to talk to anyone.

since we don’t meet you until round two, the picks were made based off of the info from your resume, application, gpa, and social media. it’s not entirely fair that so many cuts are made before even meeting pnms but that’s just how we had to do it this year. good luck with the rest of recruitment babe!

social media is NOT a factor in most sororities. We looked at essays to see what girls are passionate about and how they spend their free time on campus.

it’s mostly based off resume, gpa, and the essay responses. i wouldn’t be super worried, you’ll end up where you are supposed to be, even if it is through informal! a ton of women end up where they are supposed to be through formal and informal.
